Hi, its me, Maggie!!
I was going to write this up two days ago, and I really meant to! But then I got hungry, saw the hay, and well, you know how it goes…
So this lady comes out, something in her hand, she puts it up to her lips and it makes this sound. Kind of pleasing! Wiley, my red headed cousin, and I go over to investigate. We are so curious!
The lady tries different tones. We really like the one in the middle. And then you know Wiley, always into something, he puts his mouth right up to the harmonica while she is playing! She shows him, put in your mouth and blow. He gently places his lips on it, then his teeth. He starts to bite down, very softly but it feels like it is going to crack, he is not sure how to hold it. She removes it, plays it again and then gives it back to him. He tries to figure it out, for a few minutes, then funny enough he starts to blow! Ok so he blows out his nose, not his mouth, but darn it all if he is not trying to play the harmonica. Knock me over with a feather!
And I guess I never thought about it, but can we blow out of our mouths? We nicker, whinny, and we can blow really hard out our noses, ( I know that I can sound like a dragon if I put my mind to it) but I am just not sure about blowing out of my mouth. I think I am going to have to think on that a bit.
That Wiley, he is just like me, smart and funny but he is playful. Curious. Some of those things I have lost along the way. I think being here is good for me. I want to find myself again, find that horse that I used to be. I remember those days. They will come again…Maybe even a family of my own one day….
